After a successful 2012 initial launch, the Gyft app was redesigned in 2015. Using qualitative and quantitative user research studies and business metrics, we determined the best approach and strategy for a redesign. After launch in late 2014 our overall metrics improved in key areas and the overall revenues exceeded expectations.
The main feature of the app allows users to purchase eGift cards from hundreds of merchants.
Sending eGift cards via email, social, and text is a key value proposition during the holiday season.
Redemption allows users to redeem their eGift card using their mobile phone with merchant scanners.
The Gyft iOS app has a consistent rating of 4.5 stars in the iTunes App Store and was featured in the Best New App category by Apple in summer 2015.
Led the UX/UI design for the B2C Gyft iOS app. Worked closely with the Gyft design team to ensure consistency and strategic vision across the Gyft ecosystem. Collaborated with the co-founders, product managers, engineering, and QA teams to deliver pixel-perfect assets, specs, and prototypes for implementation.
